1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account data — your email, a securely hashed password, an optional profile picture and your plan. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google email and basic profile details.
• Files you upload — the documents you choose to process with our tools.
• Contact data — the recipient email addresses you enter when you send a signature request.
• Usage data — which tools you use and when, and file names, to enforce limits and improve the service.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and similar details, collected by our infrastructure and analytics.

2. Your files and how long we keep them

• Conversion tools (convert, compress, merge, split, OCR and similar) — your files are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers. They are discarded as soon as the task is complete.
• Share links — files you share are stored for 7 days, then automatically deleted.
• Signature requests — the document is stored so recipients can sign it, and is deleted 30 days after the request is completed, or immediately when you delete it.
• Account data — kept until you delete your account.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the tools and complete the tasks you request.
• To create, maintain and secure your account.
• To send transactional emails, such as signature requests and completion notices.
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• To monitor errors and improve the service.

4. Third-party services

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, each under its own privacy terms:

• Resend — sending transactional emails.
• Google — optional sign-in.
• Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
• Hostinger — our email hosting.
• Analytics and error-monitoring providers — to understand usage and fix problems.
• We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use minimal cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and language preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the EU GDPR), you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and data at any time from your dashboard.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data (portability).
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on it.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

PDFConverter2 is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
